About us

A Salem plumbing company that starts with the drains

We are based on State Street in downtown Salem and we work across the Mid-Willamette Valley. Most of our days are spent on drains and sewer lines, and the rest on everything else that carries water through a house.

Why a rooter company

Salem has a lot of old sewer pipe under a lot of big trees. The clay and concrete laterals in older neighborhoods were laid in short sections, and every joint is a place for roots to get in. Newer subdivisions have their own problems: grease in kitchen lines, wipes in toilets and storm lines that silt up. That is why drain and sewer work sits at the center of what we do.

A drain call done right is more than clearing the clog. It means finding out why the line plugged, showing you the camera footage, and telling you plainly whether the pipe needs anything more than cleaning. Many lines just need a good cleaning and some maintenance; some need a spot repair; a few need replacing. You get the honest version.

The rest of the house

We also install and repair water heaters, including tankless and heat pump models, track down leaks, repipe older homes with galvanized steel or polybutylene lines, replace pressure regulators on hillside homes, run gas lines and install and repair backflow assemblies. Fixtures, toilets, faucets, disposals and appliance hookups are everyday work.

Who writes Plumbing Notes

Our homeowner articles are written and edited by Rodney Huckaby, plumbing notes editor. The goal is simple: explain what is happening in your pipes in plain words, so you can make a good decision, whether or not you call us.
